Ritz-Carlton Millenia (SG) - Deluxe Suite Hotel Review
Our stay at Ritz-Carlton Deluxe Suite was truly an unforgettable experience. This was also partly due to the irresistible offer that we managed to secure – a reservation for a Club Deluxe Marina room that came with a complimentary night’s stay and an amazing city view to die for.
Just FYI, Ritz-Carlton Millenia was celebrating its 25th Anniversary year, you can try your luck and look out for special promotions from them on the 25th of each month.
Being a classic luxury hotel in Singapore, the price tag (even with promotions) doesn’t come cheap. However, the Ritz-Carlton Deluxe Suite is definitely worth every penny. Read on to find out about what an unforgettable experience Ritz-Carlton Millenia has to offer!
Personalized Service That Anticipates Your Every Need
About a week prior to the stay, the Club manager sent an email providing me with the club menus for my stay as well as more information about check-in. The Club staff also assisted to secure reservations for the swimming pool and fitness centre (gym).
Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to the Club Corner Suite since we were celebrating a birthday!
Given that it was the March school holiday period and occupancy rates were naturally higher, this was definitely unexpected. We really appreciate that they continued to provide top-notch service despite us being “discount” customers.
Best View In Singapore?
When we walked into our suite, we were just blown away! The huge windows offer a picturesque view of the surrounding Marina area.
Ritz-Carlton Millenia’s signature octagonal windows in their bathroom definitely didn’t disappoint. We spent a good amount of time taking photos against the beautiful backdrop.
When night falls, you will get treated to the gorgeous Singapore skyline. Despite having lived here my whole life, it is still a view I won’t get sick of.
The Ritz-Carlton Deluxe Suite Life
Ritz-Carlton Deluxe Suite was superbly well-appointed. The living room included a sofa which can comfortably seat 4 adults, a workstation that faces the stunning view and a smart TV with Netflix!
The attention to detail is commendable – such as the HDMI port at the workstation and an ice bucket. The bedroom was large and comfortable, and the inclusion of bedside tables on both sides was a nice touch.
The controls and sockets are also cleverly hidden within the tables. We had a good time exploring the room and discovering all it has to offer.
We were also gifted with a birthday cake and some macarons, as well as a bowl of fresh fruit. Throughout the stay, the evening turndown service would also leave some Ritz-Carlton branded chocolates by our bedside.
However, the highlight of the service would definitely be the handwritten card and box of praline chocolates that appeared in our room one day, courtesy of the front counter. The personal touches truly enhance the luxury experience.
Amenities
The gym was a pleasant surprise for us as it far exceeds our expectations of a typical hotel gym. The equipment is well-maintained and there is a good mix of cardio, weight machines as well as a barbell station. There are also abundant towels and mineral water there. The swimming pool got a bit crowded, but it is understandable given that it is the school holiday period. However, what we loved was the abundance of sunbeds. There was definitely sufficient space for all to lounge about and enjoy some of that blistering Singapore sun.
Club Lounge
The club lounge experience is definitely a must at Ritz-Carlton Millenia. With 5 food presentations a day, you don’t even need to leave the hotel to have your meals!
The dishes rotate on a daily basis and you can access the menus by scanning the QR codes on the table. All the food and drinks are free-flow and you can request for multiple servings of your specific favourites.
Light snacks are served at lunch-time but they are anything but! You can usually enjoy a main dish, some fruits and a side.
Alcoholic beverages (champagne, anybody?) were available all-day for those in need of a midday booze fix. You’re on vacation, nobody’s judging!
Almost immediately after, afternoon tea is served with very cute little jars of honey. There is a good mix of sweet and savoury choices and a wide selection of drinks to go along with it.
Service at the club lounge was always impeccable. Many of the staff would remember our seating and drink preferences and be always quick to offer us more food and drinks.
If you are going to book a stay at Ritz-Carlton Millenia, you would want to consider adding on the club lounge for the full experience.
Breakfast @ Colony
Since it is the school holidays, breakfast is served at the main restaurant, Colony, which is situated on the ground floor. However, the staff noted that we were entitled to club lounge privileges and offered us champagne with our breakfast.
The choices for breakfast ranged from the typical English breakfast to pancakes, to a Chinese-styled dim sum and congee. Breakfast was good but not very memorable.
Ritz-Carlton Millenia is likely the best hotel we’ve been to yet. I can hardly think of any flaws! The exceptional level of service, delicious food and stunning views blow my mind. Although the price tag is definitely steep, this is one staycation that is worth every dollar.
